Tracy was born on November 13th, 1987 and lived with her dad, mom and younger sister in Valley Stream, New York.
Tracy has been described by many as a girl who always smiled and she could light up a room when she walked in. Her outgoing and friendly personality made it easy for her to talk to anyone about anything. She loved her family, friends, music and sports.
Tracy graduated from Stetson University in May 2009. She was back home in New York for only 4 months when she was diagnosed with head and neck cancer at the age of 21. She had surgery to remove the cancerous tumor on her tongue followed by months of radiation. Not long after, the cancer had spread to her lungs. She had 2 surgeries to remove a part of both lungs followed by many rounds of chemotherapy.
Tracy fought long and hard and most people didn't even know how difficult her battle was because of her positive attitude and refusal to stop living life to its fullest and she did it with style and grace. For those of us who were lucky enough to know Tracy, her unique warmth and beautiful smile will never be forgotten. Her "beautifully reckless" attitude will live in our hearts forever.
Tracy lost her battle with cancer on May 4th, 2012 at the age of 24.

My Hero does not fly or have any kind of cool powers. My Hero does not star in her own comic book or movie. However, My Hero has the power to change the lives around her.
My Hero has written me 21 reasons why she loves and cares for me. My Hero is always thinking of others before herself. My Hero has the strength to carry the weight of an entire family on her shoulders. My Hero is the most stubborn person I know because she refuses to show pain she refuses to have her youth stolen from her, and she refuses to give up. My Hero is My Hero because she is the the strongest, most determined and motivated individual I have ever been blessed to meet. My Hero makes me smile. My Hero refuses to stop dancing. My Hero is simply and honorably the most "beautifully reckless" person I know. I love My Hero more than words can describe.
